Jacci and the Covered Bridge…

Once upon a time there was a fair maiden and a covered bridge…

Actually, Jacci and I were down in San Marcos for dinner.  On the way back home, we stopped by Aquarena Springs again.  That old, decrepit place that used to have swimming pigs as an attraction seems to have a wealth of settings to use for portraits.  Jacci wanted to see if anything could be done with the covered bridge…

Having only two light stands and three flashes, I rolled over a pole set in a concrete tire (that thing was heavy and did not really want to roll) as a third light stand.  I bungied one flash to the pole and aimed it at the bridge.  I set the other two on light stands, one of them with a shoot-through umbrella.  The bare flash went behind Jacci and to the side, to light the back side of her head.  The umbrella went above and in front.

Here are some photos of the results.  Two of them show the strobes, test fires to make sure all three were firing.  The other three are three different poses and post processings.

Isn’t she beautiful?
